Doc Apple to Perform at Farnham 40th Anniversary Event

Quirk’s Players of G. Ray Bodley High School will present Neil Simon’s classic comedy The Odd Couple Friday, October 21st and Saturday, October 22nd in the Bodley High School Auditorium. Curtain time is set for 7:30 PM both evenings, and tickets will be available at the door. The production kicks off Quirk’s Players’ 2011-2012 season.
Sandra Dowie is the featured artist for the month of October at the Oswego Public Library’s Art Gallery. A graduate of Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with a degree in Art, and now a resident of Sterling, her favorite subject is horses. “I want to capture the horse’s personality and grace on my canvas. I seek to find the compassion that is ever present in his demeanor.”
World-renowned artist David Garibaldi, who performed in 2009 in Oswego, is returning this upcoming October 29th to the American Foundry to perform his live stage show “Rhythm and Hue” at a 40th anniversary fundraiser for Farnham Family Services, an Oswego-based substance abuse clinic.
The Oswego Opera Theater announces a Sunday afternoon concert to open the 2011-12 Season, historically its 33rd consecutive year. “Two Sopranos and a Mezzo” will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2011, at 2:00pm in the Church of the Resurrection, 120 West 5th Street in Oswego, between West Bridge and West Cayuga Streets.
