Area students explored healthcare careers during Oswego Health’s recent MASH Camp (Medical Academy of Science and Health) held for two days at Oswego Hospital. The students, who are entering the eighth and ninth grades, took part in interactive rotations through numerous hospital departments that included the lab, pharmacy and medical imaging.

The Fulton Medical Center will host the six-week class on Wednesdays, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. starting Sept 27 through Nov 1. The Oswego class will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. beginning September 26 through Nov. 7 at Oswego Hospital in the cafeteria conference room.

The Oswego Health Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the health system, has announced its officers and a new board member following its August 2 annual meeting. Elected chair was Barbara Bateman, who serves as the vice president, branch manager of NBT Bank in Oswego.

Oswego Health will hold a Multi-Organ Blood Analysis from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 16 at the Central Square Medical Center. This full battery of tests can help prevent potential health problems. The cost of the analysis is $40. Typically these tests can cost more than $340.
