Oswego Health welcomes experienced Orthopedic Surgeon John Ayres, MD, to its Advanced Orthopedic Group. Dr. Ayres earned his doctor of medicine degree from New York Medical College in New York City.
Oswego Health will host a career fair for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants and graduate nurses from 4 until 7 p.m. August 5 at Alex’s on the Water, 24 E. First St.
Area students taking part in Oswego Health’s upcoming MASH Camp will learn CPR using kits donated by Emergency Consultants, Inc. During the two-day camp to be held July 29 and 30 at Oswego Hospital, the students will be taught how to perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation.
Oswego Health will once again lead off the Harborfest Children’s Parade and offer an afternoon of fun activities for children at Franklin Square on July 24. The parade begins at Breitbeck Park at 1:30 p.m. and proceeds along West Fifth Street to Franklin Square/West Park.
Residents can learn how to better manage their chronic condition during a free, six-week program that is being taught by experienced health educators. Oswego Health is offering the free workshops developed by Stanford University.
Oswego Health and the Oswego Kiwanis Club will hold their annual multi-organ blood analysis on August 1 at Leighton Elementary School in Oswego. The analysis screens individuals for various conditions such as anemia, diabetes, and others, as well as for coronary, kidney, and liver diseases.
The Oswego Hospital Laboratory has added a location at Lake Ontario Prompt Medical Care in Oswego. The new lab and collection site opens July 6 at its new Oswego location, 300 State Route 104.
Oswego Health welcomes Timothy Tramontana, MD, MS, who will be providing primary care in Central Square at the Primecare Medical Practice. The Primecare practice is located in the lower level of the Central Square Medical Center, 3045 East Ave., (County Route 49) in the village of Central Square.
The Manor at Seneca Hill hosted a very special party on May 29 – the 103rd birthday of resident Anna Kielb. Kielb is a Fulton native, who at one time worked at the Woolen Mill located on West First Street in the city.
Area students entering the eighth or ninth grade in the fall can learn more about healthcare careers this July at Oswego Hospital’s MASH Camp. This year’s MASH Camp (Medical Academy of Science and Health) at Oswego Hospital will be held July 29 and 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
