Preparations are under way in the Hannibal Central School District for an annual tradition promoting healthy habits and positive choices. The fifth annual Healthy Family Night will be held from 5-7 p.m. March 22 at Fairley Elementary School and will feature a variety of activities for community members.
Sandy Creek Elementary, to encourage their students to read books at home, challenged their classes to keep track of how many books they read at home and the grade with the most books read would receive a special snow-inspired reward.

“Blast Hunger,” the fifth annual Blessings in a Backpack joint fundraiser, will take place March 10, at the Elks Lodge. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Oswego and Fulton programs that provide weekend food for needy schoolchildren will offer a wide array of crafts and vendors plus pulled pork luncheons for pickup, baskets for raffle, 50/50, and a bake sale.
