Fairley Celebrates 100 Days
It was a numbers explosion at Fairley Elementary School this week as the school celebrated its 100th day of school with an entire day devoted to having fun while counting and learning.

One honoree from each classroom was selected to receive the Principal’s Award for their hard work and commitment to being a respectful, responsible and kind school citizen.
Erin Lohnas will continue training in the use of the 3-D printer into March. Because of this, there will be no classes or open lab times available on March 7. Lohnas is hoping to begin doing workshops using the 3-D Printer during the summertime once she has become proficient in its use.

Shiza Shahid, known for her activism and co-founding the Malala Fund with Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, will speak in SUNY Oswego’s “I Am Oz” Diversity Speaker Series at the start of Women’s History Month. The free public event will take place at 6:30 p.m. March 1, in Marano Campus Center auditorium, Room 132. Doors will open at 6.
Teacher Rachelle Salmonsen visited the new CiTi library with her English language arts classes where students listened to directions, collaborated with one another and remained on task to create light-up cards for a friend or family member.
The annual Oswego County 4-H Tack Sale will be held March 17 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Central Square Middle School. The benefits of the sale go towards the 4-H educational horse programs held throughout Oswego County.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.
