This morning (Jan. 20), employees from Oswego County Federal Credit Union and Exelon Nuclear distributed hundreds of mittens, gloves hats and scarves in Oswego and Fulton parks and public common areas for those in need. The program is called “Gloves With Love” and is in its third year.

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program, a division of SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations, in conjunction with the IRS and AARP’s Tax Aide Program, is pleased to offer free annual income tax preparation, e-filing and tax counseling services for the residents of Oswego County.
Workshops will not be offered on Wednesdays of next month in order for Erin Lohnas to attend some workshops and training to make use of our new 3D printer. 3D Printing workshops and events will be offered in the coming months once the device and software has been set up and learned, so keep a look out for that.
Seven Emerson J. Dillon Middle School students represented the Phoenix Central School District and earned honors during this year’s Scholastic Art Show. Alaina Hubbell earned a Silver Key for her submission. Honorable mention award-winners included eighth graders Bethany Hook, Jalyn Henry, Kylie Russo, Alissa Bova, Johnathan Dion and Mary Crandall.
Students honored on the Provost’s List have been enrolled part-time and earned a quality point index of 3.75 (roughly equivalent to an A) or better.
To be included on the Dean’s List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average.
Application of job skills, work ethic and determination have all led students in work-study programs at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation to real-world learning and small, steady paychecks.
