State Senator Patty Ritchie recently made the trip to Prescott, Ontario, Canada, to join nearly 40 leaders from both sides of the New York-Canadian border to discuss ways the United States and Canada can work together to improve trade, tourism and relations between the two nations.
To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.
To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must be attending the university full-time and attain at least a 3.5 GPA for the semester.
Gil Oldenburg is the winner of the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s drawing for a ladies diamond ring. Donated by DuFore’s Jewelry in Oswego, the 14k white gold ring has a total carat weight of .55 and features a brilliant cut diamond with baguettes.
Community members of all levels of experience, expertise, and skill sets willing to aid OCO in its mission of making our communities a better place for all to live, work, and play are encouraged to consider becoming an OCO board member.

The Fitzhugh Park Elementary School Spelling Bee went the distance this week, completing a full 15 rounds before crowning its champion and sending two other qualifiers to the Scripps National Spelling Bee Regional Final in March
The Children’s Room at the Oswego Public library offers free story hour, crafts and snacks for children. Story hours take place on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Come explore the library! It is a great place to be in the winter.
