Extreme weather made its way into the Hannibal Central School District today (Oct. 23), as TV meteorologist Molly Matott delivered a presentation to Fairley Elementary students.
Senator Patty Ritchie will host her Oswego County Senior Health and Wellness Fair on Thursday at the Oswego County Highway Department in Scriba. The free event, which runs from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., will feature various exhibitors offering health screenings, wellness tips, flu shots, live entertainment and more.
Fulton resident Timothy Conners, who lost his sight to leukemia when he was 15, presented a program to the Fulton Lions Club on his trek up Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest point on the African continent at 19,341 feet. Conners made the climb even though he is visually impaired, to “redefine possible.”
“This workshop is designed to help Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries learn about work incentives, resources, programs and services they are eligible for which will help them return to work successfully,” said Kim Sizemore, Disability Resource Coordinator at Oswego County Workforce New York.
Pearl is a bundle of energy and curiosity and fun. She can leap tall buildings (well furniture), ride on your shoulder and purr in your ear, play with her brothers and sister non-stop until they all suddenly stop for a nap. Then, it’s up again to race around the house and entertain you.
In the popular annual activity, children can take part in a variety of Halloween games and activities that day from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center food court. Admission is one non-perishable food or toiletry item donation per child.
