Special Auditions Announced by Players

Because of unanticipated issues surrounding the previously announced Oswego Players’ production, director Inez Parker has chosen a different play for presentation this fall. Auditions for the upcoming production of “Fiddlers Three” will be held on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 5 and 6, at 7 p.m. in the Frances Marion Brown Theater of the Oswego Civic Arts Center at Fort Ontario.

‘Every Second Counts: Plan 2 Ways Out!’

Consider this scenario: It is 2 a.m.: you and your family are fast asleep when you wake up to the smoke alarm sounding and the smell of smoke. What do you do? If you and your family don’t have a plan in place, it could jeopardize your safety, or even prove deadly. NY Sea Grant, DEC Launch K-12 Great Lakes Ecosystem Education Exchange

New York Sea Grant, in partnership with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, has announced the New York Great Lakes Ecosystem Education Exchange program, also known as NYGLEEE, for K-12 teachers and environmental educators. Seen Enough Tobacco Reality Check Action Day

On October 13, Reality Check youth of Oswego, Onondaga and Cayuga counties will come together to take action with a unified Seen Enough Tobacco message aimed at educating the community about the tobacco industry’s manipulative marketing practices. The message is centered around the number 13, in that the average age of a new smoker in New York State is 13 years old.
