The Oswego Players announce open auditions for the upcoming production of Neil Simon’s comedy, “The Sunshine Boys.” Auditions will be held Wednesday and Thursday (July 19 and 20) at 7 pm in the Frances Marion Brown Theater of the Oswego Civic Arts Center. The play is being directed by Pablo I. Mendoza.
Those participants of the second cohort of the Oswego County Pathways in Technology Early College High School program will receive an academic booster of English language arts, algebra, living environment and global studies to help them stay on track when the fast-paced program starts back up in September.

Sunny skies and warm weather greeted golfers for the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s Annual Golf Tournament. Held at the Oswego Country Club the tournament featured two complete tournaments; a morning flight and an afternoon flight.
Harborfest fireworks visitors on July 29, can enjoy a chicken barbeque dinner at the Oswego County Salvation Army Worship and Service Center, 73 W. Second St. Serving will be from noon until sold out. Complete dinners include ½ chicken, salt potatoes, baked beans, and a roll and may be eaten inside or taken away.

A recent survey by the Indiana University Media School of 7000 people (both cat people and dog people) found that; after watching online cat videos they were more energetic and had fewer negative emotions such as anxiety or sadness, that they often watched them at work or while studying and that that the pleasure from watching the videos outweighed any guilt about procrastinating.
Any residents of Oswego that would like to make their food dollars go farther may order August Food $en$e packages until noon on August 11. All Oswego area residents may use the program. There are no income limitations and no restrictions on the number of items one may buy.
