Do you know anything about so-called Thundershirts? I think they are like a straightjacket for dogs and I cannot imagine then being healthy. They sound like they are just a money-maker being sold to well-meaning dog owners thinking they are helping their pets.

The Fulton Polish Home will have its annual golf tournament on July 29 at the Battle Island Golf Course. Cost for the Captain and crew tournament is $75 per person with a pork roast following at the Polish Home. The purpose of the tournament is to ensure that the facility is in good shape for all in the community to use and enjoy.
Watercolor painter Carol Burghart is being featured as Artist of the Month for July at the Riverside Artisans Cooperative. According to Burghart, “Most of my paintings are of local subjects in and around the upstate New York area, particularly the Fair Haven and Sodus Bay regions.”
New York Sea Grant and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation today (July 11) announced the availability of $200,000 in funding for Great Lakes resilience projects. Up to $25,000 per project is available from the New York Great Lakes Basin Small Grants Program administered by New York Sea Grant in partnership with DEC.
At its annual meeting in June, Operation Oswego County presented its 2017 Dee Heckethorn Entrepreneur Award to Allen Chase. The award was in recognition and appreciation of exceptional entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and dedication to fostering the growth and development of Allen Chase Enterprises, Inc.
