At its March 27 meeting, the Sandy Creek Central School District Board of Education heard a presentation from the district’s architectural firm SEI Design Group. SEI was given the district’s Building Condition Survey to form the basis of their next project.

Muskies Grill in Fulton is serving up its support for the annual St. Luke “Bundle of Bucks” Charity Raffle. Owner Michelle Baker donated a gift certificate, one of the many valuable prizes that will be given away at the “Bundle of Bucks” Charity Raffle drawing event on May 31.
Dr. Mary Walker will be at Oak Island, Waterloo, NY. Dr. Walker – a.k.a. Marilyn Rowsey Dirk – a resident of Oswego, has been educating the public on the work that Dr. Walker dared to accomplish during the American Civil War. At 2 p.m. on May 24 Marilyn will take to her role and talk about the trials and accomplishments of Dr. Mary Walker at Oak Island Pavilion Two.
On May 10, Superintendent Paul Lear will lead a walking tour of the 1814 Battle of Oswego at Fort Ontario State Historic Site. The tour will begin at 1:45 p.m. at the tunnel entrance of the old stone fort. It is free and open to the public.
Executive Director of Oswego County Opportunities Diane Cooper Currier welcomed incoming members of OCO’s Board of Directors at OCO’s annual meeting held April 24 at Springside at Seneca Hill.
Hannibal Central School will again be offering Pre-K classes for the 2014-2015 school year. This program is available for children residing in the Hannibal Central School District.

A free gospel concert will be held at North Volney Methodist Church on May 10 from 1 – 3 p.m. featuring the Misfits and Lake Effect Bluegrass. There will also be a plant sale and book sale from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The third annual SUNY Oswego “On My Own Time” exhibition of faculty and staff artistic talent will feature a free public reception at 5 p.m. May 9, in Penfield Library’s Lake Effect Cafe. The exhibition, which features up to three original visual-media works per non-professional artist, will run through May 30 at the library.
