Allen Bjorkman: Lakeside Artisans Artist Of The Month

The Oswego Association of Business and Professional Women presented a $100 check to Leighton Elementary Home and School Association for the new playground planned.
BucFest is planned for Oct. 1 from 12:30 – 3:00 p.m., at the end of Joe Wilbur Field (rain location OHS gym) right after the homecoming parade.

At Thursday’s meeting of the Oswego Sunrise Rotary Club, Kevin Caraccioli told how his first grade teacher gave him a nickname that became the kernel of his children’s books. He will be part of Saturday’s literacy event at the Armory.

Lakeside Artisans will host a ‘Thursday Artists’ workshop with watercolorist Jeanne Dupre on Sept. 29, from 5 – 7 p.m. during the farmers’ market. The workshop will concentrate on fall trees.

Brookfield Renewable Power, the Oswego Fire Department and Oswego High School WBUC staff members collaborated to have the students produce public service announcements about water safety.
