County Recognizes National Tourism Month in May

The Oswego County Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning  Committee recently designated May as Tourism Month. The tourism industry  generates more than $107 million annually in Oswego County. Rotarians Hear About DPW

At a recent Sunrise Rotary Club meeting, Rotarian Carol Vescio  introduced Dan O'Brien, Fulton Commissioner of Public Works.  The Mayor  has proclaimed the week of May 16 - 22 as National Public Works  Awareness Week and Dan spoke about the responsibilities of that  department which includes, roads, sewer, water, sidewalks and garbage.   Dan also pointed out that the City staff do many things at great savings  that were once contracted out.    The Sunrise Rotary Club meets every  Friday at 7 AM at Fulton's Riverside Inn.Dan spoke about the responsibilities of that department which includes, roads, sewer, water, sidewalks and garbage. Oswego County Humane Society And Hannibal Post Office Present Stamps To The Rescue Adoption Day

 Socks is seven months old and loves people, the big dumb Golden  Retriever in his foster home, all other cats, and jumping up in your lap  to give you tiny little kisses in your ear. He will be at the adoption  day looking for new ears to kiss.Every animal adopted that day will receive an adoption certificate with one of the new stamps canceled with a special Hannibal post mark created especially for that day.

Long time supporter Pathfinder Bank is one of the sponsors for the  11th Annual Oswego County Hospice Cup Regatta and Walk/Run for Hope on  Saturday June 12 at the International Marina/Oswego Yacht Club. The days  events include the 5K Walk/Run, sailing races on Lake Ontario and a  public reception at 4 p.m. featuring a Shore Dinner catered by the Blue  Moon Grill and entertainment by the Cortini Brothers.
