Fulton Police Arrest Two on Charges of Grand Larceny, Falsifying Records

Fulton Police allege that a man and woman received more than $23,000 in housing for which they were not eligible.

Police announced in a news release that they arrested William L. Calkins, Sr., 42, of Fulton and Lorie A. Calkins, 39, of Rochester on felony charges of grand larceny and falsifying business records.

School Superintendents Meet With Aubertine On State Aid. The Result: ‘Not Good News’

State Sen. Darrel J. Aubertine, right, meets with school officials from around the region to discuss the impact of the state budget.It’s a safe bet that school superintendents did not hear what they wanted to hear when they met Thursday with State Senator Darrel Aubertine about state aid for next school year. Hannibal Superintendent of Schools Mike DiFabio summed up Aubertine’s message: “Chances of an on-time state budget are slim and the Governor’s numbers (on state aid to districts) are about the best we’re going to get.” Oswego’s superintendent, Bill Crist added the senator told everyone what they already know – “the state of the state is not good and we all will need to make some difficult decisions in the next year(s).”

RaiderNet Daily: Brand New Locker Room Vandalized

Fulton's brand new girls locker room fell victim to vandalism by visiting teams during the recent Class A Wrestling Championships. Among the items used to deface the lockers were peanut butter and jelly, and black ink, as in the photo above. (Taylor Barrett photo)

Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School hosted last weekend’s Section III Class A wrestling tournament.  Some visiting teams got to use the brand new girls locker room.  The locker room was vandalized with ink, food, spit and other substances.  The full story in today’s RaidetNet Daily.
