UPDATE: “Upon arrival we had heavy flames and smoke coming out of the front of the building,” Chief Assistant Fire Chief Scott Redden of the Ringgold Fire Departmen said. “At this time it’s still under investigation. As a result of the January search, police discovered and seized a Remington 870 shotgun, which had been altered to an illegal state. Specifically, the barrel had been shortened, or ‘sawed off.’ Police also seized what appeared to be two homemade silencers for the shotgun and two other long guns which were secured for safe keeping.
