UPDATE: The investigation has resulted in assault and robbery arrests. At about 2:03 a.m. today (Oct. 4), Oswego City Police responded to a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident in the area of West Sixth and Oneida streets.
Oswego Mayor Randy Bateman has announced that Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., will be expanding the current store on Route 104 East in Oswego, to allow inclusion of general merchandise and a full-service grocery store under one roof.
The city will form a committee to look at not only the fire department’s issues regarding overtime but all departments in general. Councilors hope the move will save the city thousands of dollars.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department says it acted on a tip and searched a home in the town of Williamstown today.
The department says the home contained items commonly used to make methamphetamine.
