Oswego Man Charged In Robbery

On Monday, at approximately 11:10 p.m., Oswego Police investigated a report of a robbery that had just occurred in the area of Tallman Street at Murray Street in the city of Oswego. At about 10 a.m. Tuesday, police officers executed a search warrant at 14 Murray St. in connection with the robbery investigation. One man was arrested.

Oswego Police Investigate Report Of Man With Gun Near Schools

City police are continuing to investigate a report of a man with a gun in  the area of Leighton Elementary and Oswego High schools earlier today (Dec. 8). A subsequent on-scene investigation determined that one of the males had been in possession of a BB gun. At this time, no charges have been filed. But, the investigation is ongoing.

Oswego’s Proposed Parking Policy Discussed

The Physical Services Committee decided to take no action on the matter Monday night and wait for the fine-tuned version to come to the council floor. Broadcaster Bob Gessner Dies In Florida; Left Legacy Of Local Programming

Bob Gessner fell in love with Oswego’s lake and stayed here long enough to see the things he loved about radio fall away.  Gessner owned Oswego’s WSGO-AM until the mid 1990’s and built its FM sister — the last local radio station owners in Oswego County.  He believed in local issues and put local ideas and local people on the air.  Gessner died over the weekend, but the people who worked for him — including his daughter — say his impact will always be felt.
