Roker to broadcast two shows from SUNY Oswego

Members of the Central New York community are welcome to join the Weather Channel and NBC “Today” show festivities beginning at 5:30 a.m. Oct. 16, at SUNY Oswego. Al Roker, a 1976 Oswego graduate, is scheduled to broadcast his remotes for NBC’s “Today” show from the college’s Marano Campus Center as well as the entire “Wake Up with Al” show on the Weather Channel.

Live broadcast to make case for supporting SUNY Oswego

ESPN anchor Steve Levy, a 1987 graduate of SUNY Oswego, will join college President Deborah F. Stanley for a live online broadcast of “The Tomorrow Show,” the official kickoff of an unprecedented $40 million campaign for SUNY Oswego on Oct. 16. The show, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16, will launch the public phase of “With Passion and Purpose: The Campaign for Oswego.” Students will produce the broadcast, which will highlight Oswego’s faculty and students. Couple Charged After Search Warrant Executed in Granby

A search warrant was executed on the residence of Earl J. Ouderkirk, 42, and Jennifer L. Pollock, 40, in the town of Granby following an investigation conducted by the Oswego County Drug Task Force, the Fulton City Police Department, and the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department. The couple was arrested on Monday (October 6) after a search warrant conducted on their residence on September 30 resulted in the recovery of 14 marihuana plants and other processed marihuana, police said.

Oswego School Board Considers Intermunicipal Agreement

It spells out the obligations each one of the entities has in defending the tax challenge; the cost for each of the jurisdictions for the defense of the challenge basically from Nine Mile Power Station, the superintendent explained. It details how the district, county and town of Scriba would share costs as well as revenues. The board is expected to vote on it later this month.
