The Oswego County Tourism Office has launched a new interactive map (iMap) that allows prospective visitors and local residents to create their own customized itinerary for visiting hundreds of places in Oswego County. The iMap is a computerized map linked to the Oswego County tourism web site at www.visitoswegocounty.com
Also, Oswego City Police Department Introduces Crixus, Where’s Heidi Author Heads To San Antonio To Speak, the county OKs its 2014 budget, and the Port City’s budget is passed saving 15 DPW jobs and cutting the tax hike in half.
On Tuesday, the Oswego City Police Department’s Anti- Crime Team concluded an investigation into the alleged possession and sales of cocaine occurring within and around the city of Oswego. Assisting with the investigation were the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, the SUNY Oswego Police Department and the U.S. Border Patrol. Wire taps were utilized as part of the investigation that began in 2012.
Also, an unarmed Air National Guard drone crashes into Lake Ontario, the Lady Bucs claim volleyball section championship, proponents of the Youth Advocate Program plead with county to keep it in the budget and the city was working with hospital officials to clear parking congestion along West Mohawk Street.
David Rath, chairman of the Tourism Advisory Council, presented the awards to Robert Green of Fulton, James Hotchkiss of Mexico, and County Legislator Morris Sorbello, District 23, of Granby. In addition, the council recognized outgoing County Legislator Louella LeClair, District 25, Fulton, for her many years of support of the tourism industry in Oswego County.

The Oswego County 9-1-1 Program has launched a new Facebook page to keep residents informed about new developments in the 9-1-1 office. E-9-1-1 serves the community by answering emergency and non-emergency requests for police, fire and emergency medical services.
