Scruton to direct Oswego’s MBA programs

Irene Scruton has joined SUNY Oswego’s School of Business as director of the college’s master’s of business administration programs, announced Richard Skolnik, dean of the school. As Oswego’s MBA director with offices both on the main Oswego campus and at the SUNY Oswego Metro Center in Syracuse, Scruton oversees the full-time and part-time MBA degree programs in management and accounting as well as the online MBA program.

Pathfinder Industries plans to rebuild quickly

The site of the former Pathfinder Industries building looks much different now than it did back in March, after the building was destroyed by fire. The day after the fire, the owners met with Fulton Mayor Ron Woodward and the Common Council and demolition permits were handed out. The space is now a vacant lot ready to be built upon again.

Emergency management office mails tone-alert radio batteries

Replacement batteries have been mailed to county residents who have an emergency planning tone-alert weather radio from the Oswego County Emergency Management Office. Emergency Services Program Coordinator Terry Bennett said that replacement batteries are mailed to residents on an annual basis to ensure proper operation of these radios.

Local Artist displays collection in Oswego

Over two years ago, Marissa Hill woke up with words in her head. In the middle of the night she penned the story that would eventually inspire her senior project at SUNY Oswego. These words became “Our Walk,” a collection of 11 paintings and picture book all created by Hill. “Our Walk” is currently on display at The Coffeenook on West Second Street in Oswego and will be featured until the end of the month.
