Residents of the villages of Sandy Creek and Lacona no longer need to boil their drinking water. Jiancheng Huang, Oswego County Director of Public Health, said several water samples were taken Wednesday and Thursday.The test results are satisfactory, indicating that the water is safe for residents to drink and use for cooking.

Friends of Great Bear has scheduled an invitational meeting for people interested in helping at Great Bear Springs Recreational Area.
