Trash Truck Spills Load on 481 in Fulton

Fulton City Parking Lot May Lose All-Day Spaces
Fulton lawmakers are poised to eliminate the last all-day parking spaces in the downtown retail area. The Common Council agreed to hold a public hearing on plans to turn the city-owned lot adjacent to the Tavern on the Lock restaurant into two-hour parking only.

Fees Rising At Oswego’s Gallagher Pool
At its meeting Monday night, the Common Council approved slight increases in some of the fees for the city swimming pool. The increase will help offset the cost of operating the city pool that was almost closed during last year’s budget discussions.

A big turnout of voters provided a big margin of victory for Fulton’s school budget proposal.
The budget passed, 954 to 608.
UPDATED – Bullets Found In Riley Elementary School Classroom
UPDATED: Police say they have identified the youth who brought the bullets to school.No charges are filed; the student may face discipline from the district, however.
Oswego City School District officials said Tuesday that at the end of the school day, staff found what appeared to be five live bullets in one of the classrooms of the school.
