Syracuse Man Accused of Sodomizing Child

A Syracuse man has been arrested for allegedly having anal intercourse with a child several times at a Hastings residence in 2001. Mathew J. Angona, 23, of 300 Lodi St. Apt. 1, Syracuse, was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse, both felonies. After assaulting the arresting officer, he was also charged with second-degree menacing, resisting arrest and second-degree harassment.

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Set For Bridge

<p>The Route 104 Bridge is set to reopen - about three weeks ahead of schedule.</p>

The opening of the new Route 104 Bridge will take place on Monday, approximately three weeks ahead of the scheduled date of completion. ”This new bridge on Route 104 is not only a vital part of the connection between east and west in the City of Oswego; it is a symbol of Oswego’s commercial and economic resurgence,” Mayor Randy Bateman said.
