Dec To Close Region 6 Seasonal Access Roads And Associated Gates On March 31

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced that effective Friday, March 31, Region 6 will be closing all gates to snowmobile trails and mud gates on seasonal access roads on Forest Preserve, State Forest, and Conservation Easement lands due to spring thaw and muddy conditions. DEC Region 6 is comprised of Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence, Herkimer, and Oneida counties.

TRAVEL ADVISORY: Lane Closures On Taft Road Bridge Over I-81

The New York State Department of Transportation is alerting motorists that traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on the Taft Road bridge over I-81 in the Town of Cicero beginning Wednesday, April 5. The lane closures are necessary to facilitate the continuation of the full bridge rehabilitation project that began in the spring of 2022 and are expected to be in place through the month of June.
