UPDATED After a preliminary investigation it is believed that that a juvenile male on a bicycle was struck by a motor vehicle. The juvenile was transported to Oswego Hospital ER in critical condition with multiple injuries.

Today (July 24), Charles A. Clark of Scriba was sentenced to 15 years in state prison, along with 15 years post release supervision, upon his conviction of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree.

The preliminary investigation revealed a 1988 Harley Davidson, operated by Cody G. Pollic, 25, from 237 Mattison Road, Richland, was traveling east on State Route 104 when he lost control on a curve, was ejected and struck a tree. Pollic was pronounced deceased at the scene.

New York State Department of Health informed the Oswego County Health Department last week that the Eastern equine encephalitis virus was detected in two mosquito pools collected from the field station at Toad Harbor Swamp in the town of West Monroe.

At its meeting Monday night, the Common Council approved naming the viewing area at Breitbeck Park the “Charlotte Sullivan Memorial Lookout Point.”
