NYS Law Restricts Official Newspaper Designation in Fulton

Effective January 1, 2019, however, city officials were notified that the Valley News will be relocating it’s business office from Fulton to Oswego. City officials were subsequently faced with the decision to select a different official newspaper or to amend the city code to allow the city’s official newspaper to be able to operate its business outside the city of Fulton limits.

In the middle of a blizzard, the new Oswego Common Council was sworn in at City Hall. At the council’s organizational meeting Jan. 1 night, five of the seven members sworn in by Oswego County Supreme Court Judge James W. McCarthy were freshmen. Rob Corradino was appointed president of the council. Kevin Hill was named vice president.

K9 Crixus’ vest is sponsored by Staten Island Companion Dog Training Club embroidered with the sentiment “Gifted by SICDTC, Staten Island, NY.”

Looks Like A White Christmas For 2018

After a brief, balmy stretch recently, Old Man Winter has returned just in time to ensure a white Christmas. Though things are likely to warm up again in a few days, December 25 will be white. It will be “seasonal” Christmas Eve with lows lingering in the mid 20s with some lake effect snow. Temperatures will be near 30 with the snow tapering off around mid-day on Christmas Day.
