Oswego Police said today (September 27), that Jamie L. Towle, an account clerk in the Oswego County Treasurer’s Office, was charged by Oswego Police with Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree, a class D felony and Falsifying Business Records, a Class E Felony.

Last week, an entire first ward neighborhood came together to express fear for their safety and frustration in their dropping quality of life, allegedly stemming from a “problem house” in their neighborhood. In response, Fulton Police Chief Orlo Green III and FPD Investigator Stephen Lunn joined Mayor Ronald Woodward Sr. and members of the Fulton Common Council to address misinformation and answer questions from neighbors in the West Second Street and Phillips Street area. Oswego Pair Facing Felony Drug Charges

On Tuesday September 25, at approximately 3:19 p.m., investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force, in conjunction with the Oswego City Police Department, executed a narcotics related search warrant on a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt, and its occupants, as it traveled northbound on State Route 481 within the city of Oswego. As a result of the search warrant executions, approximately 14.2 grams of crack cocaine was located and seized, according to police. Two people were charged.

Second West Monroe Victim Dies

The second victim in a previously reported death that occurred at 347 Brecheimer Road in the town of West Monroe on Monday, September 10, has died, the Sheriff’s Office reported today (September 25). Michael P. Shane, 59, of 451 County Route 11, lot 31, West Monroe, died earlier today (09/25/2018) as a result of injuries suffered in this incident, police said.

On Tuesday Mayor Billy Barlow, Assemblyman Will Barclay and H. Lee White Maritime Director Mercedes Neiss will unveil recent improvements made to the Oswego Lighthouse at a special ceremony. The program is scheduled for the Wright’s Landing Marina/Oswego Yacht Club Pier, 41 Lake St. It starts at 10:30 a.m. and will last about 15 minutes. Following remarks by Mayor Barlow and Assemblyman Barclay, there will be a boat ride to the lighthouse.
