Syracuse Man Charged With Violating An Order Of Protection

State Police arrested Chad Chapman, 33, from Syracuse, for Criminal Contempt 1st degree, a class “E” felony and Harassment 2nd degree, a violation, following a domestic incident that occurred Sunday in the Village Green Community parking lot. He is accused of violating an Oswego County Family Court Order of Protection during a altercation with the protected party.

Emotions Run High As Neighborhood Battles Against House ‘Unfit for Occupancy’

An entire first ward neighborhood took a stand at Tuesday’s (Sept 18) regular meeting of the Fulton Common Council. One by one, neighbors of West Second Street South in Fulton addressed their pressing concerns with one troublesome house in their area. They detailed the drastic loss of quality of life in their neighborhood, all alleged to stem from one property: an owner-occupied multi-family unit that has been without water and power for months.

Following unanimous passage in the U.S. Senate this evening of The Fort Ontario Study Act, bipartisan, bicameral legislation introduced in the House by U.S. Rep. John Katko, the Congressman released the following statement: “Fort Ontario and Safe Haven National Refugee Shelter are treasures in our community, and testament to the important role of Central New York in our nation’s history. The Fort Ontario Study Act has been among my top priorities since coming to Congress in 2015,” said Katko.

The occupants of the 2001 Buick were Ronald C. Canfield Jr, Amanda R. Long, William J. Crowe and Katie A. Grant. The occupants of the 2016 Ford Focus were Charles Alton II and Charles Alton III. The occupants of residence damaged by the fire were identified as Barbara and Mark Dennison.

Oswego Councilors Seek Input On Winter Parking Policy

It’s a problem nearly as old as Oswego itself. Where can someone park during the Port City’s winters? At Monday night’s Planning and Development Committee meeting, councilors discussed ways to “enhance winter parking permit process and associated fees,” according to committee chair Ron Tesoriero.
