Fulton Native Plays Among The Best on NYC Based Basketball Team, Ranked 8th in Nation

Having just turned 16 years old, Fulton native Ryan Michaels is playing among some of the best young basketball players in the nation with his role on the NYC based team, the NY Jayhawks. With immense dedication, Michaels travels to NYC on a weekly basis and to several states across the country each weekend to play in tournaments with and against fellow basketball players headed to Division 1 colleges and even the NBA.

The Common Council took steps Monday night to enhance cell phone coverage in the Port City. A trio of public hearings was held Monday night regarding the placement of three Verizon Wireless Telecommunications facilities. Young And Old, And Lots In Between, Are Taking Part in Fulton Block Builder Projects

At age 25, Kayli and Joe Maxam are the youngest homeowners taking part in this year’s Fulton Block Builder project. That’s if we don’t count their daughter McKinley – age 10 months! They have been thinking about painting their house but didn’t plan on doing it this year. “We were only going to put in the new fence and paint the deck, but this project made it possible for us to do more. We love the historical colors the only hard thing was having to wait to spread new mulch until all of the painting was done,” smiled Kayli.

State Police ID Two Missing Teens In Lake – Bodies Recovered

UPDATE: The individuals have been identified as 18-year-old Lorenz Greenwood Coinco and 14-year-old, Andrew J. Stevenson both from Watertown, NY.
State Police report two bodies have been recovered. The victims, who police believe were pulled into the water by a large wave, have not been identified.
On Sunday, June 25, at approximately 3:30 p.m., State Police responded to the Robert G. Wehle State Park in Henderson regarding two male subjects in Lake Ontario in distress approximately 30 yards off shore.

The day has come and gone, as Fulton’s 2017 G. Ray Bodley seniors prepare to tackle the world as high school graduates. Brian Pulvino, completing his first year leading the district in her role as Superintendent reflected on his personal experiences when sending his first group of FCSD graduates on their way to the next steps of their lives. “Getting out of your comfort zone is the key to experiencing new things and growing as a person, taking risks, extending yourself to your limits and striving for your goals,” he told the seniors.

Legislature Passes ‘Sparkler Law’

The Oswego County Legislature passed a new law at its June meeting which will allow residents to use sparklers and similar non-explosive devices for their Independence Day celebrations. The law permits “safe and common items,” such as sparklers, to be excluded from the list of dangerous fireworks as defined by the New York State penal code.

Fulton Man Facing Felony Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop In Clay

On Monday, June 19, at approximately 1:50 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle traveling northbound on State Route 481 for several traffic violations. The operator, Anthony W. Losito, 30, from Sundown Road, Fulton, was found to be driving the vehicle with a suspended non-driver identification, troopers said.

Oswego County Family, Including 2 Children, Victims Of Road Rage Incident On I-81

On June 22, 2017 at approximately 2:35 p.m., a trooper patrolling northbound on I-81 in the town of Salina came upon an accident that had just occurred. The trooper discovered a gray Ford pickup that had struck the concrete barrier, and spun, facing south in the northbound lanes near the 7th North Street exit. Five passengers, including a small child and an infant, were just starting to exit the vehicle.
