Assembly Minority Proposes “Raise The Age” Reforms To Increase Accountability And Improve Public Safety

Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C-Pulaski) and members of the Minority Conference today announced legislation to reform the flawed “Raise the Age” and improve the level of accountability for those who commit violent felony crimes. The Minority Conference held a press conference today in Albany and were joined by district attorneys who have continued to point out the problems with the law since its passage in the 2017-2018 State Budget.

Assembly Minority Conference Offers Rules Reforms To Make Assembly Operations More Efficient

The Assembly Minority Conference today introduced 10 proposals designed to strengthen operations in the Assembly Chamber. The measures are aimed at increasing transparency, making operations more equitable and procedures more efficient. Governor Hochul Announces $13.5 Million In Awards In Third Round Of The More Than $48 Million Buildings Of Excellence Competition

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced $13.5 million was awarded to 14 projects through the third round of the more than $48 million Buildings of Excellence Competition recognizing the design, construction and operation of clean, resilient, and low-carbon or carbon neutral multifamily buildings. In addition to these awards for demonstration projects, $1.1 million for Early-Stage Design Support was also announced to help ensure the most cost-effective low carbon solutions are integrated into projects from the start of design.
