The Oswego State women’s basketball team (3-2) suffered its second loss of the season on Friday, falling to SUNY Plattsburgh 83-61. The Cardinals jumped out to the lead early, but the Lakers fought hard and kept the game close.
The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team used a well-balanced attack against SUNY Potsdam to win its first game of White Out Weekend, 7-1 on Friday. The Lakers started the scoring early with Matt Galati scoring the first goal of the game at 2:12 in the first.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team withstood Plattsburgh 73-70 in the final game of the first day of White Out Weekend on Friday night in Max Ziel Gymnasium. It was the SUNYAC opener for both teams, with Oswego improving to 5-1 overall while the Cardinals dropped to 3-2.
The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team started off White Out Weekend with a 3-1 over visiting SUNY Canton on Friday afternoon in the Campus Center Ice Arena. Oswego improves to 7-2-1 on the season with the victory while Canton falls to 4-4-2.
The Lady Bucs swimming and diving team finished up the season in spectacular fashion while the winter sports teams are under way. The Lady Bucs swimmers finished 22nd among 150 teams at the New York State Championships and second place out of all the Section III team represented at the state level.
