Laker Volleyball Splits Action Saturday
The Oswego State volleyball team (8-9) opened the day by defeating Morrisville (2-8), 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-23) before losing to SUNY Canton (13-2), 3-0, (25-21, 25-11, 25-12), on Saturday.

Nikki Liadka (Jr., Liverpool, N.Y.) scored two goals to help the Oswego State women’s soccer team (4-4-0, 1-2-0 SUNYAC) record its first league win of the season after posting a 3-0 decision over Potsdam (2-7-0, 0-2-0 SUNYAC).
Sophomore Ryan Purdy (Stormville, N.Y.) scored early in the second half to give the Oswego State men’s soccer team (1-7-1, 0-2-1 SUNYAC) a lead, but it was unable to hold on in a 1-1 tie against Potsdam (2-6-1, 0-1-1 SUNYAC) on Friday.
The OHS volleyball, tennis, golf, soccer and swimming have been victorious recently while the football team scored well, but came up on the short end.
On Saturday 9/22/12, the Hannibal X-C teams competed in the 61st Annual Baldwinsville Invitational. The JV Boys Team took 2nd place out of 22 Teams. Jordan Skipworth came in 1st overall with a time of 18:29.
The Oswego State field hockey team (1-7) was unable to rally from a 2-0 deficit against non-conference Houghton (5-1), as the Lakers fell 2-1 on Wednesday.
Brumley joined Oswego State as the Assistant Athletic Director in July 2006. A national search for a new director of intercollegiate athletics will be conducted.
The Oswego State men’s tennis team (1-3) was competitive at every flight, but were unable to capture any individual wins in a 9-0 loss to Elmira (2-0) on Tuesday afternoon. All three Lakers doubles teams were defeated, 8-2, to give the Soaring Eagles a 3-0 edge in the match heading into singles play.
