Oswego State junior men’s ice hockey forward Ian Boots (Akwesasne, N.Y.) has been named the SUNY Athletic Conference Men’s Ice Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 20.
Three William Smith basketball players were honored by the Liberty League office today. Senior guard Mollie Danahy (Troy/Troy, N.Y.) and junior forward Kristen Kush (G. Ray Bodley/Fulton, N.Y.) were named to the Team of the Week, while first-year guard Sasha Borenstein (Agoura Hills/Agoura Hills, Calif.) was named Rookie of the Week.
A number of Oswego Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) players and other individuals within the community have volunteered to have their heads shaved in an effort to raise money for The St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Fulton diver Steven Hanczyk broke the school diving record twice this past weekend, but they’ll only have to change one letter of the name of the person holding the record.
That’s because Steven broke his brother Dan’s record.
Hundreds of triathletes from throughout the Northeast will embark on the Oswego community this upcoming June 25-26 for the Tri-Oswego 2011 Triathlon.
