Lady Bucs Hockey Clinches State Crown

The Oswego High School Lady Bucs hockey team did not surrender a goal in two days as they captured the New York State Girls’ Hockey crown on Saturday before an enthusiastic crowd in Skaneateles. The Lady Bucs scored a 4-0 title game win over Alexandria Bay and had advanced to the finals with a 3-0 shutout over host Skeanteles.

Bucs Shut Out Baldwinsville on Senior Night, Tune Up For Sectional Rematch

Sophomore Forward Josh Scova nailed home two goals while senior goaltender Matt Howard secured the net in OswegoÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s 2-0 victory over the Baldwinsville Bees. Scova grabbed a goal in each of the first two periods. ThatÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s all the Bucs needed to hold onto a victory as Howard snagged 32 saves on senior night at Crisafulli Rink Thursday.

Oswego State Women’s Hockey Falls Short In 5-2 Loss To Hamilton

Hamilton notched three power play goals as the Continentals handed the Oswego State womenÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s ice hockey team a 5-2 loss on Wednesday night at the Campus Center Ice Arena. Abby Runyon and Stephanie Miguel tallied two goals each for Hamilton, which improved to 9-8-3 overall. The Lakers, who fell to 7-13-1 on the season, will travel to Elmira for a weekend series starting on Saturday at 7 p.m.
