The suspects are accused of engaging in a physical fight with the victim. During the altercation, the victim was repeatedly kicked, punched and struck with a board causing substantial pain and bruising, according to police. The investigation revealed that the assault was unprovoked and during the course of the assault the individuals did repeatedly refer to the victim using racial slurs.
At Monday night’s Administrative Services Committee meeting, Mayor Billy Barlow said he wishes to execute an agreement with three+one services to provide proprietary reports and data that can be used internally and externally to achieve higher income on the city’s low- and non-performing operating dollars.
7:45 a.m. Update – Deputies entered into the residence and found a male with a self inflicted gunshot wound deceased. A fight at an Albion home Tuesday night resulted in a standoff situation. A person reportedly involved in the fight has refused to come out of the house.
At last week’s committee, Justin Rudgick, Community Development Director, gave councilors a brief update on what the Special Events Committee has been working on. He requested discussion regarding Special Events Guide and Application. Council President Eric VanBuren scheduled a workshop regarding the application tonight, prior to the full council meeting.
