School Districts To Distribute School Supplies

Volunteers from the Oswego County Teachers Association sort through school supplies collected during a previous United Way Stuff-A-Bus campaign. Members will once again join United Way volunteers in distributing school supplies from this year’s Stuff-A-Bus campaign.
The Stuff-A-Bus campaign, which began in June and will culminate on Aug. 10, was initiated to collect school supplies so that children in need throughout Oswego County would have the supplies they need to begin the new school year.

Donor Supports Oswego YMCA

Recently, the Oswego YMCA recieved a donation from Navy Veteran Jim Harbison for $10,000.00 to support Oswego Y programs. Harbison, an Oswego native, is a Navy Veteran having served in WWII believes "helping your community is important and I just want to help where I can."  At the Oswego  Y, strengthening community is our cause~Mr. Harbison's generous donation helps the Y do just that.   Every day we work side by side with neighbors in our community to make sure everyone, regardless of age, income or background has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
