One officer from the Fulton City Police Department was seen helping nine-year-old Mason Fuller build a snowman.
FULTON, NY – A Fulton City Police Officer’s picture has gone viral on social media after he was caught on camera stopping to help a young boy build a snowman.
One officer from the Fulton City Police Department was seen helping nine-year-old Mason Fuller build a snowman.
Nine-year-old Mason Fuller had just gone outside to start building a snowman after coming home from the movies early last week.
As his mother called outside to see if he needed any help, a response came from an unexpected source.
A local police officer with the Fulton City Police Department had stopped at the house and offered to help young Fuller build his snowman.
“Mason was super excited,” said his mother, Melody Morrison. “The officer helped him make a snowman and even stood with him for a minute and chatted with him, it was great.”
Morrison snapped a few pictures of the interaction as well as a neighbor that happened to notice the generous officer from her own home.
The officer helped the young boy and chatted with him for a while according to Fullers mother, Melody Morrison.
“I don’t know the little boy, but (my mom) happened to be looking out the window, and saw a police officer building a snowman with this little boy,” said Lindsay Snyder, whose mother, Lisa Hoyt took a picture of the officer helping the young boy as well.
“It is absolutely amazing this officer stopped to help this little boy! It needs to be spread showing positive police enforcement,” added Snyder.
The pictures were uploaded to personal Facebook accounts and soon the image was being shared in places as far away as Florida.
The Facebook page “Police Unity Tour Team South Florida” shared the picture along with a picture of Pulaski police officer, Kevin Greenwood who was caught on camera helping an 80-year-old resident shovel snow from her sidewalk.
The picture, along with a picture of Pulaski police officer, Kevin Greenwood made its way to Florida where it was shared on the “Police Unity Tour Team South Florida” Facebook page.
The Florida native Facebook page captioned the picture: “Apparently there’s some colder weather up North than we are used to here in South Florida. Then again, we do think the 60s is cold and cause for winter coats. As seen by these photos, the cold winter weather did not stop one Pulaski NY Police Officer from stopping to help shovel a walkway for an 80 year old resident. The same weather did not stop one Fulton Police Officer (also in NY) from stopping to help a child build a snowman. Great work Officers. Stay warm and stay safe!!”
These two Oswego County police officers have made their way around social media, showing all viewers a side to law enforcement that is much less commonly highlighted.

So now it is no longer a secret, some of the best people serve in our police agencies. A snapshot in time that shows our best moments in Oswego County.
Although this kind police officer will not take any credit for what he did…but we all know who this is (.and if that is how he wants it, I will keep this secret). I cannot tell you in words how proud I am of this kind action and how proud I am of this officer. This young child will never forget that day or that snowman.. I agree with County Legislator Karasek – “A snapshot in time that shows our best moments in Oswego County.”
Great for the fine officers in blue for the city of Fulton , I retired from the Fulton Fire Deptment and they are all great people
