Snowblowers roared to life for the first time in a long time on Friday. More than 8 inches fell in parts of Scriba. Up to a foot or more was reported elsewhere.Plows worked continuously to keep the roadways cleared and sanded.This tractor-trailer ran into some problems trying to navigate on Route 104 west of the Port City. The snow was so fierce that the city of Oswego began its winter parking ban – more than a month later than usual.A male cardinal joins some other backyard birds for dinner in the snow.

The snow made driving treacherous – especially when it blotted out stop signs.
It was slow going along West First Street in Oswego – an all other parts of the county as well.

thanks so much for the great pictures of your recent snowfall. Lived in Oswego most of my life and the Oswego county area and although I miss my family dearly and the beautiful lake, fort, I don’t miss the snow!!!
