That’s write. They’re doing it again. A cluster of writers has scheduled a workshop at Camp Hollis on the Lake Ontario’s shore in Oswego Town for June 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be hosted and facilitated by Mary Slimmer, Jim Farfaglia and June MacArthur, the guest writer. The trio presented a well-received writers’ workshop at the camp last fall which prompted them to conduct another this spring.
“Camp Hollis is a landmark for Oswego County. It really is. I am glad to be a part of it,” says Brandon Morey. There are certain things that make a camp a camp and should never be changed, never ever, he said, adding he hopes to continue and enhance Camp Hollis’ tradition for many years to come.
Families who want to learn more about Camp Hollis are invited to an open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 23. Parents and children can tour the camp, visit sleeping cabins, meet the staff and enjoy samples of camp activities. The camp is located on Lakeshore Road in the Town of Oswego. […]
