Historic Flag Of The Four Freedoms To Fly At Fort Ontario
The historically significant Flag of the Four Freedoms will fly at Fort Ontario State Historic Site in celebration of Flag Day and the 80th anniversary of United Nations Week in Oswego. It will be hoisted beneath the national flag from Flag Day, Wednesday, June 14 through Monday, June 19.

History on Tap Features United Nations Week 1943 in Oswego
Fort Ontario State Historic Site presents the next “History on Tap” event at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7 in the Riverview Room at G. S. Steamer’s Restaurant in the Clarion Hotel, 70 E. First St., Oswego. Audience members are invited to arrive early and purchase refreshments to enjoy during the program. Admission is free.

Fort Ontario Observes Yom HaShoa With Ceremony
Fort Ontario State Historic Site hosted a ceremony on April 18 for Yom HaShoa, also known as Holocaust Remembrance Day. The ceremony served to honor victims and survivors of the Holocaust and commemorate the refugees who came to the Fort Ontario Emergency Refugee Shelter during World War II.

The Fort Ontario Conference on History and Archaeology returns to the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center, 26 E. First St., Oswego next month. The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 26.
