The symbol of the Indian head has been used for over a hundred years by Fulton High School. The students and staff have been discussing the continuation of the present icon, modifying it, or changing to a new icon.
Soon, they’ll make it legal by taking a step that didn’t happen at the time.
The City of Fulton Police Department announced that several of its officers will now be armed with TASERs. The department recently purchased 7 new TASERs, which hit the streets last week. Having recently completed department training, a limited number of Fulton police officers will begin carrying the devices while on patrol.
On Friday, April 30, 2010, the Fulton Jr. High hosted the annual High School Transition Night. This evening was well attended by 8th grade parents while their students enjoyed the last dance of the year.
The Memorial Day Salute Committee recently announced the winners of the annual Poster Contest held to create a patriotic poster in keeping with “America the Beautiful”.

Oswego Health plans to turn the former Lee Memorial Hospital building into what its CEO calls “a shining star” of health care for the community.
CEO Ann Gilpin unveiled plans for a $17 million renovation of the building, which Oswego Health uses now for an urgent care center and some health services.
When the work is complete, the entire building will be in use.
Lawmakers this week authorized the Mayor to sign a change order increasing the cost of the work at the site from $85,000 to $130,000. All of the cost of the project will be paid by state or federal grants.
