Fulton Police Begin Carrying Tasers

The City of Fulton Police Department announced that several of its officers will now be armed with TASERs. The department recently purchased 7 new TASERs, which hit the streets last week. Having recently completed department training, a limited number of Fulton police officers will begin carrying the devices while on patrol.

Oswego Health Plans $17 Million Renovation of Former Lee Memorial Hospital to Fill Building with Services

Oswego Health CEO Ann Gilpin explains expansion plans for the  former Lee Memorial Hospital while video screens show drawings of the  work to be done.Oswego Health plans to turn the former Lee Memorial Hospital building into what its CEO calls “a shining star” of health care for the community.

CEO Ann Gilpin unveiled plans for a $17 million renovation of the building, which Oswego Health uses now for an urgent care center and some health services.

When the work is complete, the entire building will be in use.

Cleanup of Former Fulton Mall Property to Resume

The cleanup of pollution at the former Fulton Mall site on the city’s north side can resume, now that city lawmakers have approved an increase in the cost of the work.

Lawmakers this week authorized the Mayor to sign a change order increasing the cost of the work at the site from $85,000 to $130,000.  All of the cost of the project will be paid by state or federal grants.
