“We don’t usually get any hail. It’s been few and far between that I have reported hail. And, here it is the second time this summer,” local weather observer Bill Gregway said following the storm that hit the area Sunday night.
Two big thunderstorms dumped more than 3 inches of rain on the area. Without them, the month would have been drier than average.
The temperatures have been in the 80s the last four days. With the high humidity, it’s been almost unbearable. But brace yourself – we could actually hit 90 degrees later today.
