Harborfest Sets Volunteer Training Dates

Harborfest has scheduled Volunteer Orientation sessions for July 14th, 16, and 21st for those wishing to volunteer for this year’s Harborfest.  For more information on becoming a Harborfest volunteer contact the Harborfest office at 343-6858.

Executive Director of Harborfest, Tom Van Schaack has announced that the dates have been set for Harborfest’s annual Volunteer Orientation. Volunteer orientations will be held at the McCrobie Building Ballroom on Lake Street in Oswego on July 14th, 16th, and 21st from 5 to 7 p.m. Volunteers are required to attend whichever date is convenient for them.

Harborfest To Host Children’s Gala, Parade

<p>Representatives from Oswego Health’s Sun Patrol, pictured, participate in last year’s Harborfest Children’s Parade. The parade, which is co-sponsored by Oswego Health, will return this year.</p>

Harborfest will host its annual Children’s Gala on July 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at historic Fort Ontario. Sponsored by Entergy, the Harborfest Children’s Gala is an entertaining evening that offers children aged Pre-K to 10 a variety of food, fun, activities and live entertainment.

Harborfest Kids’ Fun Run Scheduled Sponsored By the river’s end Bookstore

Hey kids! Sign ups are now going on for the 9th Annual HARBORFEST KIDS’ FUN RUN scheduled for Saturday, July 25th and is sponsored by the rivers’ end bookstore. This event offers a ¼ and 1 mile route and begins at 8:00 AM. All racers will start in front of the Oswego YMCA. We are looking forward to seeing our community of kids getting “Fit & Literate” during this years event.
