For two days this week, A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital in Fulton opened its doors to give seven students hands-on experience in a variety of health care fields during the hospital’s seventh annual Medical Academy of Science and Health (M.A.S.H.) camp.
With an additional year to work with, the city of Fulton is considering the ways that it can lend a hand to A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital in its efforts to save health care services in Fulton.
Three days before the deadline, the state has announced that Lee Memorial Hospital will have a one more year to work out potential partnership agreements with other health care facilities. According to Assemblyman Will Barclay, the state Health Department has granted Lee Memorial a one-year extension to meet the requirements of the Berger Commission.
