She brings her love of poetry to schools throughout Central New York, but enjoys her visits to Oswego.Poet Rachel Guido deVries has been a “guest” of the Oswego City School District for nearly 20 years. Minetto Recognizes Its Sixth Graders

Minetto Elementary School recently conducted its sixth grade honors program. Involved in the event were (in front) Corey Stevens (Principal’s Citizenship Award) and Douglas Schneider (Triple C) while in back are Principal Dean Goewey, Rachel Godden (Principal’s Citizenship Award), Minetto alum and OHS salutatorian Justine Harrington, Hannah Strzelinski (Triple C) and Minetto alum and OHS senior David Caramella.

Minetto Elementary School sixth graders were in the spotlight at the annual honors program conducted before a cafeteria-packed with parents, friends, family and staff members.

Groups Clean Up Areas Along Oswego River

A trio of Minetto Elementary School students qualified for the next round of the annual spelling bee competition. Sixth graders Natalie Chubon finished first at the school while Luke May was runner up and fourth grader Jack Dobbs was third.

Oswego Police Continue To Investigate Minetto Man’s Death

At approximately 8:59 a.m. today (Feb. 25), Oswego City Police responded to a disabled vehicle complaint on Mitchell Street, in the area of the Oswego Industrial Park. The Oswego City Police Department has identified the victim as 68-year-old Wayne D. Merrill of Minetto.
