Grant Helps Hannibal Music Students Take Field Trip
Despite cuts in field trip funds this year, students studying music at Hannibal High School were provided a unique opportunity through a grant from Target. Secured by music teacher, Shirley Terrinoni, the field trip grant gave students a chance to learn about careers in the area of music, as well as numerous other related jobs.

Famed Jazz Composer to Premiere 2 Pieces for Oswego Concert
Composer, pianist and professor Robert Washut will bring his acclaimed brand of big band and Latin jazz — and instrumentalists Jose Encarnacion and Freddy Colon — to SUNY Oswego for an April 7 concert including world premieres of two pieces personalized for his audience.

Do This Tonight: Boston Brass in Fulton
Members of a brass ensemble from G. Ray Bodley High School practice before a giving a brief performance to the Fulton Board of Education on Tuesday. The group was on hand to promote Thursday’s concert by the school’s concert band and wind ensemble, which will feature a performance by the Boston Brass. The nationally-known brass quintet is in Oswego County this week giving concerts and working with school musicians. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at the high school.

The Hannibal Music Boosters will hold a Zumba fundraiser Saturday, March 20 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the cafeteria of Fairley Elementary School.
