Grammy winners The Klezmatics bring what they call their “wild, mystical, provocative, reflective and ecstatically danceable” sounds March 10 to SUNY Oswego’s Waterman Theatre in Tyler Hall.
The new name better represents the organization which now includes a relatively new chorus and county-wide membership.
Come and hear the sounds of the artists’ of the 1940’s such as the Dorsey Brothers, Glenn Miller, Harry James, Benny Goodman, Count Basie and more. The Cigarette Girl, portrayed by Adele Ferry, will visit tables and offer candy cigarettes as well as 50/50 chances.
Since the early 1970’s the portable City Band stage has been used at nearly every major entertainment venue and event in the City. The Stage currently stands in need of significant repairs.
Kayli and Meghan Laux, who are college students, volunteered time to talk and present to the children in the Phoenix-2 Head Start Preschool/UPK/Day Care all about the viola and violin.
