Nat’l Grid Failed Service Standards, State Punishes Shareholders

A big fine of sorts for National Grid. The company’s shareholders will pony up nearly 9 million dollars because Grid’s had too many power outages across Upstate New York. The state PSC says Grid hasn’t gotten better at minimizing outages for three of the last five years, so it’s levying the maximum penalty.
