KPS Students, Seniors Meet After Months Of Letter Writing
The students and seniors have been writing to each other twice a month this school year getting to know each other, and talking about everything from hobbies to current events. The pairs recently met face to face in the culmination of a year long pen pal program called KPS Connections.

Writing Awards For KPS Students
Kingsford Park Elementary School students Victoria Crisafulli, Willow-Su Knapp and Caitlin Lilly were joined by teachers Patty Dixon and Chris Castiglia as the students celebrated their awards in the annual Oswego Reading Council Writing Contest.
FLS Kindergartner Earns Writing Award
Emily Glenn, a kindergarten student at the Frederick Leighton Elementary School, recently earned a second place award from the Oswego Reading Council in their annual writing contest. Emily wrote about “a very special person in her life”…her father.
Second Relaxation, Reflection and Writing Workshop Planned
That’s write. They’re doing it again. A cluster of writers has scheduled a workshop at Camp Hollis on the Lake Ontario’s shore in Oswego Town for June 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be hosted and facilitated by Mary Slimmer, Jim Farfaglia and June MacArthur, the guest writer. The trio presented a well-received writers’ workshop at the camp last fall which prompted them to conduct another this spring.
